I wonder if there is anyone here taken Ciprimal, which is an antidepressant. I want to share fact that my doctor has just started me on them. I could realize that each person responds differently to these types of drugs, but was wondering what others think about this. I cannot find anywhere info about Ciprimal, so I would appreciate any info. I would like to hear how this drug worked or affect some of you and what could I expect.

It seems like not many people know what Ciprimal is; I believe this is because some other name is written on the packet. Right name for the same drug is Citalopram, so if you search on the internet you will find info about Ciprimal. I have been on Ciprimal for a year now and I could say it is a very low does for antidepressant. The side affects were not so bad and do not last long. I have to tell you for me withdrawal was worse experience then side effects with Ciprimal. I have been trying to come off for 2 weeks now but not doing any good. I call this drug vibrating dizzy spells, but anyway I will stick with it and see how it will go. Once that I started on Cirprimal I felt a whole lot better but now I feel even worst because of the side affects. I guess you could ask your doctor for some info about Ciprimal. I have a friend who used it with little or no bad side effects. Side effects for me, so far, have been the jitters and insomnia, but as I already said, you could react differently to this drug.

I have been on it a year now. I needed a dose of 40mg to even work. 40 is just right now. Cant believe I had no real side effects. Didnt even put on weight. It should help.

HI, I've been using cipramal for years now on a low dosage I recently (6 mths ago) doubled my dosage. When doubling my dosage I had a burst of energy, you couldn't keep me down, I was taking it in the mornings.
After awhile it changed & I was getting sleepy??? So I started to take them at night. Apart from that I have never had any side effects while taking them & they have definatley helped me. I've tried to come off them a few times but I get depressed almost straight away, crying etc so I go back on them.
The only thing I can say is, from talking to other people that have taken antidepressants, the longer you stay on them the harder it is to come off them, so to new users just make sure you're on the right one for you. There are lots for your doctor to choose from.
Keep smiling Ing
