Hi all, I would really appreciate people help with this one,

I have a mystery illness which im trying to get to the bottom off ( I am in the process of seeing doctors but the pace is rather slow and I feel my condition is getting worse) it’s been quite complicated to get my head round at times as part of the problem is my thinking, Doh! Perhaps I should begin by giving a little background of what’s happened and then a list of symptoms,

It’s hard to get to the bottom of everything I have to say without blabbering on, but I will try!

The first noticeable problem that I became concerned with was chest pain. It started about 4 years ago. I remember one night after returning from work, just about to enter my house I has a crushing pain which was literally crippling. The pain was 10/10. Anyway, stupidly I didn’t think much of it. Skip some years later and the chest pain has been on my mind again, about 1 year ago, where I said to myself enough is enough and went to a doctor. And I got a result; I was diagnosed there and then costochondritis, which I was told I probably got from my work, where I had damaged my chest lining through over straining myself (made perfect sense at the time). It was meant to clear up after 2 weeks. But it didn’t. In fact I still have problems now. So I went to the doctors again about 3 months ago and they decided to do and ECG (came back fine) a blood test (came back fine) and a chest x-ray (came back fine)….. But then …. Things got worse.

 Around this time I started having MAJOR problems with my thinking. In short, confusion and bad memory.  The confusion was the worst part, it made every situation feel surreal and I was convinced I had suffered a stroke at times. If I were to read a sentence from somewhere it felt really hard to actually take in the information, like I couldn’t make sense of it. My memory was insanely bad; my concept of time went out the window I could not remember what I had done the very day let alone the day before. It was so bad I began to panic. I ended up phoning NHS direct (stupid idea) don’t know what I was expecting to hear but they simply told me to go to the doctors the next morning. I should of emphasized how bad I was feeling, I was literally freaking out like I had taking something, I had a wave of fear come over me like I had never experienced, but anyway that’s probably the worst part over. I still feel I have thinking problems but it’s died a little.

So then more recently I’ve began to keep myself busy with work and try and not worry about the thinking side. But then other symptoms have sprung up that I have noticed more

My vision has… altered is the best way to describe it. When I look at the moon now, its blurry where as I could easily focus on the moon before. Also I see blue dashes, more than daily. So I decided to go get an eye test. This was about 3 weeks ago. My vision was normal apparently (although I know it’s poorer than what it was) but the optician said my vision was fine in terms of the fact that I didn’t need glasses. However she could tell by the back of my eye that there was a suggestion of high blood pressure and high cholesterol. She also decided to write a letter to my doctor to suggest sending me to a neurologist, when I mentioned about the blue dashes (she became concerned).

Well I’ve been waiting for my doctor surgery to receive the letter still, but In the meantime more symptoms have become more noticeable.

There’s a Lump in my neck – about the size of a golf ball (but it’s not protruding) this lump is at the back of my neck at my ride side. It hurts when I move my neck in certain positions. And when I think back to the last few months, my neck has ached quite a bit and im thinking this lump which ive become aware of only very recently, is the culprit.

Weird tingling sensation and numbness (like pins and needle) on my upper back on the right side just below the shoulder blade (in the exact same spot all the time) actually even as I type this the feeling is present and quite prominent. I have the feeling multiple times a day.

SYMPTOMS LIST –

So apart from the;

Chest pain,

Thinking problems,

Altered vision,

And lump in my neck….

I also have/ get;

Heart palpitations

Ringing in my ears (very annoying)

Deep itches (can’t scratch them away)

Tiredness,

Wake up feeling slightly ill every morning.

Note – I’ve been thinking if there could be anything in my surrounding environment that’s causing these symptoms (well most of them). Carbon monoxide came to mind so I’ve bought a monoxide detector and none present. Also I’ve read about black mould and what it can do to your health, this seems to fit my criteria of problems and would make sense. Unfortunately I’m unable to locate any and haven’t managed to test the house I’m in.

One thing that should be noted is that pretty much all these symptons came at a similar time.

any help really appreciated.
