Hi there, the cortizone shot that you received is a steroid so it is meant to help alleviate pain in the body. The reason it was in your arm is because injecting steroids into the face would be a really bad idea. Does it feel like you've actually received any relief from your symptoms or are oyu still in pain? If that's the case, I think that you might want to talk to your doctor about an alternate course of treatment because I know there's more than one. Keep us posted on how you're doing, okay?
