I was on Cymbalta for 2 months and decided to quit by myself, nothing in particular. I'm not the med type of person. I suffer from dystimia, GAD and BPD. But I strongly feel that I can get along with my disorders if I get therapy. Thing is, nowadays therapists only want to get you medicated. I just need somebody to talk to, thats all.
Anyhow, I tapered off Cymbalta by decreasing my dosage from 60 mg every other day for 3 days then cold turkey. I have been literally dying. I'm very depressed, very scared to be alone, very anxious. I'm nauseous all the time and have been on a diarrheal pattern for the last 4 days. Last night i had to take sleeping pills in order to STOP dreaming so much. I sweat a lot, but feel cold. And have very flu-like symptoms. My alergies have increased and I feel itchy all over the pplace (head, back, even throat). I guess all of this is normal, but I needed to talk to people who experience these symptoms. I feel alone at home because I haven't told my family I'm getting off the pill.
I was wondering if I could take any otc meds for the feelings of anxiety such as sedoxil or any other generic. Please help :-( I'm feeling very scared

I know what you are talking about, I am thinking about ditching my Cybalta as well and just keep on taking my Xanax, it does better than cymbalta and does not make you feel like a zombie, although xanax is a addicting drug, but if it works for you that is all that matters.
