Ok so my husband and I got a bit drunk and had a couple hours of sex, which included quite a bit of time of him using his fingers inside me. I was understandably sore the next day. It is now 5 days later and after day #2 I started having some pain around my vaginal opening. Day #3 the pain escalated and became pretty bad while sitting, walking, laying, wiping, if I even gently (and I mean gently) touch it, and I noticed there was a small amount of blood when I wiped. Day #4 (yesterday) was just awful. I did as much examining as I could stand, and noticed that my vaginal opening is basically swollen shut. When my husband got home from work, I told him he had to take a look cause I couldn't see enough detail with the little mirror I had. He said I had about an inch long scratch on my inner vagina and that the opening was a little swollen and looked irritated.
I had a little success with the pain when I applied some Neosporin with Pain Reliever. I could at least sleep better last night.
I am starting to get really concerned because this is lasting quite a while and causing me quite a bit of pain, plus I was alarmed when I couldn't even "find" my vaginal opening (like it was closed up, you could not get the tip of your pinky finger anywhere in there). I have been sore before, but never ANYTHING like this. Before I call my doctor, I wanted to check to see if anyone had any experience or advice. I really don't want to have to explain to my doctor that basically I had some drunken sex and may have suffered some vaginal trauma. I guess basically what I am looking for here is a sign that this will pass, it can be normal, some ways to relieve the pain, or something.

I know this may be too much information but I really want an answer and putting "Had sex, now painful and swollen" wouldn't have really been enough detail for my question. Thanks

This sounds serious. It sounds like you may have an infection in your vagina. I suggest you go to urgent care instead of your primary doctor, unless you can get in to see him in the next 24 hours. Even then, you should probably go now.

An infection in the groin area isn't good. It can cause complications in the long-run.

Go ahead and tell your doctor what happened. I'm certain he's heard worse than what you have to tell him. Besides, your doctor's interested in treating you and won't pay attention very much to the embarrassing details.

Was there anything you could do besides go to the doctor?
