I just set ours up this weekend and spent a good two hours, kicking back and listening to some delicious vinyl

Yep!
Every couple years or so.
I have one of the ones that kept Magnavox on the top of Bilboards sales list for many years around 1960. They were originally made by Garrard but when Garrard couldn't produce them fast enough Magnavox bought the company and moved production to the US. We sold Magnavox and couldn't keep them in stock until the mid 60s when cheap became more important than quality.

I do have several albums, one hangs on the wall. I also have several 45's that my mom had when she was little. Some real classics in there!

By the time I closed my shop about 15 years ago, parts were becoming very hard to find for record players/changers. Once there were so many different cartridges and needles I had a large display box for needles in credit card size packages that was about 18 inches square. Cartridges came in coffin shaped plastic boxes that were a square inch by 3 inches. I had about 3 square feet of wall space dedicated to storing those in racks the manufacturer supplied.
The last time I was in RS they had about 3 or 4 needles and a couple cartridges for sale. Of course the fact that RS is busy working it's way out of business may account for some of that scarcity.
I have about 2000 45s, 500 33s, and 50 78s None of which have been played in the past 10 years. When I think of one I want to hear I can usually go to YouTube and find it much easier,
except for one of my favorite drinking songs by the Matys Brothers "Drunk Last Night". Some of my 45s are DJ copies. The companies used to send promo records to the DJs to get them aired. I think I have a DJ copy of one of Elvis' first recordings for Sam Phillips on the Sun label.
