That dosage is NOT, I repeat, NOT lethal. First of all, you should understand that most doctors use the PDR (Physician's Desk Reference) for initial (emphasis on initial, here) prescribing guidelines. The PDR has recommendations for both initial dosages and maitenence doses, but the maitenence dose (the dose that you take regularly)is based on those initial recommendations, and are to be titrated according to therapeutic effect. The PDR is NOT, by any means, set in stone, and was determined by statistical (and somewhat anecdotal) reports from treating physicians concerning what would be considered a "normal" starting dose, and how the average patient responds. Generally speaking, the PDR is a good reference point, but because it is based on averages, most practicioners (myself included being a nuerology NP) understand that the guidelines are only useful in contrast to how the patient responds to the treatment. There is no preset dose that will kill you. Yes, if you have never taken stimulants before and you take 100mg of Adderall, then, the LIKELIHOOD that you will experience an adverse reaction, including sudden death may occur, however, this is based on a number of different factors. But that is really true for any medication, including over the counter drugs (if I went out and bought Tylenol and proceeded to consume the entire bottle, for example, I would, most likely, become very ill). What most people don't understand is that stimulants, like Adderall, are prescribed to correct some type of nuerotransmitter deficiency, and that they are sucessful in treating these deficiencies because they have the ability to cross the blood brain barrier, which actually most substances, medications, chemicals etc. in the world, excluding our own nuerotransmitters, do not possess. Nuerotransmitters, like dopamine, are, unfortunately, considered unstable outside of the brain in that their half life is so unpredictable. This suits the brains normal function because of the rate and frequency of each synapse (electrical impulse that triggers the brain's cells and subsequently your organs or muscles to perform a specific function) are so frequent and in such multitude, that the brain is only allowed to use only what is necessary and efficient for that specific function. Insufficiency or excess can lead to defecits in cognitive, motor, fuctional, or behavioral abnormalities. Stimulants are prescribed to correct these nuerotransmitter abnormalities. Persons who abuse these stimulants are either taking them when their nuerotransmitter levels are normal and the medication is not needed which produces a euphoric effect, an effect that is listed in the PDR as an adverse reaction, or who are actually deficitient but are taking a lot, and I mean A LOT more than the prescribed dose (way more than 100mg/day), but most practioners do not prescribe this dose. Because of DEA restrictions, it is very difficult to get this from more than one prescriber, and they are often alerted to this very quickly. Historically, most persons with legitimate nuerotransmitter disorders do not abuse their prescriptions because the dose that they would require to acheive a euphoric effect would be very, very difficult to actually obtain.

Try high dose (200 mg) of vitamin B6. Worked well for me. But the effect it will only last a little over a year until you find a new solution.

I have been taking Adderall prescribed for roughly 8 years now. I am 15. My periods aren't usually TOO bad, but you seriously should NOT take Adderall if it is not prescribed to you. The things it can do to your body are horrendous. Adderall is basically prescribable Speed, and the only reason they give it out is in fairly heavy cases of ADHD, because it is a very heavy narcotic and is dangerous. A lot of doctors won't even give it out. If you are going to illegally use it, which you shouldn't no matter how much you think you need to, then rarely take it, please. For your own health.

You need to get your facts straight. 1 - the highest dose is 30 mg TWICE a day, which is 60 mg per day. and 2 - shes taking 40 mg a day. once in the morning and once in the afternoon. That is not a lethal dose at all. Everyones body is different and adderall affects each individual differently.

You need to talk to your doctor vyvanse did that to me and i almost killed myself (literally) because of how incredibly depressed it made me. They put me on adderal with antidepressants and now im fine. But its best to talk to your doctor right away because if you just stop taking all together it can hurt your body.

Considering the fact that you have trouble writing in correct english, I'd say the liklihood that you have ADD is high already. If I were you, I'd go to a doctor to have it safely prescribed.
As for the issues arising from the lack of your period, many women experience a shift in their menstrual cycle after taking Adderall. If you are not okay with some of the potential side effects such as; excessive hair gain or loss, periods of irritability as medicine wears off, weight loss, hormonal fluctuation or imbalance, and loss of activity in the visual cortex over the course of a couple of years, then you may want to consider a different medication.
