What are the side effects of a hemangioma at the top of the brain. I had
a headache which is something I rarely have had in the past. Also pain at the base of my skull on the left, numbness and a little tingling in my left arm all the way down to my small finger. I just had an MRI and was told that I had a hemangioma but the doctor wants to inject dye in the brain to see the extent of it. sometimes I get dizzy spells walking and even standing still. Everything I have been reading on line leads primarily to epilepsy treated or not treated in some cases. Knowledge is the key and I just want to know more about this illness.
Please give me some straight forward information on this illness and side effects as I am very concerned that my physician wants to inject dye into my brain.
Thank you in advance for any information you may be able to provide me.

The side-effects of a hemangioma will depend on the size and where its located. Sometimes they have no side-effects.
Its possible that your symptoms are being caused by the hemangioma. The dye will light up the hemangioma for better visualization so your doc can decide what to do next.
