Hi! How are you today as well?

As for me last night was hard. All day i was doing ok then come 8pm - i felt the anxiety creeping in. Followed by the physical anxiety that really got me down. Head pressure, feeling I'm gonna faint, nauseous, weakness.. all the works. I really feel so bad when setbacks happen. I fell asleep feeling so bad and scared...

Hi, I've been off the pill for 5 and a half months. Month #4 was the worst month with lots of panic attacks/anxiety, severe crying episodes, and rage. It was to the point that my boyfriend broke up with me. But I saw huge improvements in Month #5. I'm not back to normal but I think the episodes are decreasing with time. It helps me to track my mood and symptoms on a calendar. Please keep hope alive, things will get better!

Hi! I drank lots of chamomile tea, and cut out sugar and caffeine in the beginning months. I don’t live with my parents but would go straight to my mom’s house on the weekends and sometimes after work so I would have company in the first 2-3 months. Honestly, time has helped me most I think. I’m in month 5 and still struggling with some anxiety and a deep depression (but no panic attacks, YAY!). Something I’m doing now is trying to have people over once a week or every other week even if I’m feeling bad. Also, I’m going to begin meeting with a counselor weekly at my university. I’m a little nervous that I won’t have much to talk about because this came out of nowhere but hopefully it helps move things along!

I feel like i have an anxious pit in my stomach most mornings, mornings are also the worst for me. I burst into tears in the shower yesyerday morning for no reason, but i did have a good day at work with no panic attacks! Everyday without one is such a positive thing!!

No I havent had my period yet, I've had PMS without the period. Definitely not pregnant so I guess we just wait! I've resd it can take up to 3 months so I'm not too worried yet!

We can get through this as long as we talk about our feelings and always understand that it is our hormones doing this to us!!

I can relate with the anxious pit in the stomach. I get it some mornings and some throught the day i hate it!

I salute you for being able to go to work still. I took an indefinite leave at work because my body can't handle it.. i had a panic attack at work and now i developed anxiety going back to that place.. that on top of my Health Anxiety and Agoraphobia.

This forum is a big help for me voicing out my thoughts..

I'm gonna start to drink some chamomile tea to calm me down... i also moved back to parents house since these all happened because I'm so scared to be alone.

I get more of the physical anxiety and it really bothers me a lot. Have you experienced any physical anxiety too?

Good morning. Yes, I've for sure experienced physical anxiety. I had a racing heartbeat more times than I can count in the first weeks. I had that racing heartbeat feeling the day I went in to the hospital and decided to stop birth control (that same day). After 2-3 months off, I never had that again. I had experienced some issues with the pill but brushed it off as something else, for days and days around my period I would have the worse migraines ever, and the first week of a new pack I would have terrible nausea. I'd have bad cramps on my period to the point I was in tears, and the last straw for me was having a a racing heartbeat or feeling strange for a minute (maybe high anxiety?) I was on the pill for 3 years and never had any of that until I started a different pill which my pharmacy gave me and said it was the same thing as the one I was use to (it was not apparently!). I read about it and it said it can cause depression and with depression comes anxiety. In month 3 I had feelings of dizziness, and almost passed out at work (had to leave early and have my mom pick me up because I felt like I couldn't drive). Now, I don't have physical symptoms. I do have head pain every now and then but no more panicky feelings.

I’m scared to go to the gyno because I’m nervous that my hormones will come back normal which would mean I’m feeling like this for no reason.

Hi! Thanks for your response :) I'm on my 9th week and i just finished ovulation week if my calendar will serve me right. The physical anxiety that bothers the most is my weak arms and legs feeling and just overall fatigue. Like today I was feeling 5/10 the whole day then i took an hour nap. To think i will be more energized but instead i felt weird. I feel heavy and i had upper back pain and jelly legs

If the physical anxiety lessens i think I can handle all these better..

Hi what do you feel exactly? :)

I have really bad ROCD and intrusive thoughts. That’s my main problem but I also have numbness in one part in my leg above my knee. It’s been like this since over the summer and it just feels weird when I shave over it or rub it. Also, I have anxiety and wake up with very weak legs and a stomach ache.

Of course! I'm just glad we all have this space! I forgot to mention when I went off I had no energy and therefore barely any motivation, I would only do the bare minimum in life. I felt too exhausted to cook and clean or anything - I'd even be too tired to get food if I was hungry. So you're not alone in the fatigue. I'm just now starting to cook and clean again (so it does improve), and I haven't been napping. By jelly legs do you mean tingles in your legs? If so, I had that too. Literally every month is a tiny bit better though so that's the good news. I'm learning how to be myself again. The physical anxiety will go away but don't forget your body has been running on the pill and not producing hormones on it's own like it regularly will - your body thought you were pregnant for however long you were on it. So that's kinda a big deal but your body will eventually understand that it's time to make hormones and that's when the physical symptoms wear off I think. Have you had a period yet? Everyone here keeps saying it gets better after each period (I've only had one in the 5 months I've been off so trying not to be too hard on myself and rush things).

Yes i had my withrawal bleed after i stopped taking the pill midpack and another one last Decemeber 26 that only lasted 2 days..

I was on the pill for nearly 6 years.. my Naturopathic doctor said it's like giving yourself 1 month of recovery for every year you are on the pill or sometimes even longer. It's crazy the pills made me think I am pregnant for 6 years! I regret the day i took it. Clearly i had very lil information about it before.

Jelly legs is like muscle weakness and tingles also. I also feel it on my arms too. Its just bothers me so much! Sometimes i try to do lil things here and there but i get sooooo tired quickly. Did you go to work when you were on your 2nd/3rd month off the pill? I cant seem to make myself go to work because my body is still so unpredictable at this point.
