I’ve been off for 5 months and still deal with the depression but it has gotten better. During my 2nd month I remember being very depressed and just not seeing a point to anything. Hopefully you get better in time!

I feel like this too girl. Some days I feel great, other days it is like back to square 1. Keep holding on 1 year it sometimes take to get the pill out of the system. I know it is hard and it feels like the life has been sucked out, but we will get through.

Does anyone also just feel bothered by everything their SO does. Things he does/says turn me off and bother me so much now! It’s crazy and makes me think how I ever thought he was perfect which is terrible to feel this way! I don’t know how to explain it.

So happy to find this site. I was on LD pills for 14 years and decided to stop it 3 months ago. My gynecologist didn't warn me that it may take few months to get my period so I thought I am menopausal and pills were covering it lol
my mind is fuzzy and I even have problem to talk sometimes, plus constantly feeling down. I told my psychiatrist how I feel and she said it might be menopause and we can control it with antidepressant until it's over.
Today I thought maybe my low mood is related to coming off the pills and hormone imbalance and bingo I found this forum.
I have some other symptoms as well: back pain, all my joints hurt, takes couple of hours to fall sleep, lack of motivation.
I hope we all get trough these symptoms and feel better soon
and thanks everybody for sharing their stories.

can anyone define what "regular" is in terms of cycle? Mine vary from 25 days to 34 days. im about a year off bc now an still struggling with depression, anxiety and intrusive thoughts. An example of my cycle pattern would be 27, 29, 30, 28, 30, 29, 34, 27. Would this be classes as "irregular"?

I am so glad I found this thread - I came off the pill after 11 years as I has a LLETZ procedure which was awful and I thought I would let my body heal naturally and stop putting unnecessary chemicals in my system. I have never been so depressed and down, I couldn't pull myself out of it, I was having really irrational thoughts, I was snappy and the feeling of loneliness was overwhelming. I live alone in Dubai (I'm from the UK) so I don't have a strong support network around me to help me get through this - I'm thinking of taking the pill again as I can't feel this low for much longer it's just terrible. Anti-depressants aren't legal in Dubai. I also don't want to get pregnant so the only reason for stopping the pill was post-LLETZ procedure, which is healed now. I am in awe of how strong you all are for persevering and horrified at how much the pill can ruin our natural hormone balance. If you have any advice or a pill that makes you less prone to anxiety and depression (I have been taking Yasmin for a year and Microgynon for 10 years before that) - please let me know.

I feel the exact same, my neck and head are in agony and I feel like I'm in a hole - been on the pill for 11 years, I can't believe even a psychiatrist wouldn't think of this! Hope you feel back to normal soon!

Hey girls, how is everyone? It’s been almost 6 months for me and I think I’m doing okay. I have good and bad days but I’m starting to see more good then bad. Even during my good days negative thoughts about my life, boyfriend etc pop up but they don’t consume the day like on my bad days. Worried I will never feel the way I used to because how can these thoughts just disappear out of my mind. Well I hope everyone is feeling okay & progressing each day!

How is everyone doing this week? I’m feeling ok. I would consider these past 6 days to be “good days” with occasional negative thoughts. Other than that I think I’m slowing feeling more and more like myself. I still have a very long way to go though. I’m not even sure if I remember who I used to be and how I used to feel about certain things but I’m trying to get back to myself.

It has nearly cost me my marriage :-( its so unfair that us women have to suffer all this just cos we were being sensible about our sex life. Iv been taking oceans 3 healthy hormones, 5htp, magnesium, maca root, vitamin b complex, vitex an myo inositol. Starting to wean myself off some of them now an will just continue with b complex and magnesium i think

I’m feeling a ton better. Day by day. I’m a year and 2 months post pill and for the most part I’m healed but there are still moments that I feel a little foggy but they pass. I started to feel all my symptoms lift around 7 months slowly.. I’m no longer on any supplements.
