After my menopause my doctor told me that I must take care of my bone. It is somehow hormonally related, but not important right now. So, he gave me Fosamax for osteoporosis treatment or prevention. My question is how can this work if I take only one pill each week? This is by doctors orders.

This medication, Fosamax can be used for treatment and prevention of osteoporosis. Dosage of it, I suppose, can be different, for those two things. I think that your doctor does know what he/she is doing. Also, I think that there are other medications, for other conditions, which you can take weekly.
