I had surgery on the 1st October.I was in as a day patient, when I came home,I was fine.I wondered what all the fuss was about. The next day,WOW.it hit me.I pass the wadding and didn't know whether I was going to pass out,or pull my hair out.I felt sick, and so cold with the pain.I had a bath which ease it a bit.I had been given pain killers, but as every-one knows these cause contipation. Also I had been given lactulose, and I had some sachets of movicol. Both of which soften the stools. But that doesn't prepare you for the pain. And it is so painful.I also bought a portable bidet, which has been in constant use,as has the bath.Im so tiried too,the constant pain just wears you out.Passing wind is also painful, and you can lose stuff when you do pass wind.I found thin sanitary towels were a god send.I have also been putting vasaline down there too,as it feels so tight. Its now day 6,and I am having the doctor call on me,as I never know when I need a BM.Today is the first day that I have felt anywhere near myself. They say you can go back to work after a week,I don't think so.It is a very painful procedure,no-one prepares for the pain and discomfort afterwards.I would rather have a baby.

Don't use VASELINE, use RECTINOL cream instead.

Hope it all goes well.
Keep the stools soft and you will reduce the "1000 razor blade" bowel motions.
