Hello,
I have been on Yaz for about 4 months... I have not had my period for the last 3 months, the first month I took three pregnancy tests which were all negative and I don't want to waste more $ or freak myself out for no reason by taking more tests. Please help!

If you have taken this medicine as directed, then your reason for not having a menstrual period might be due to excessively high dosage or this may not be the right type of medicine to fit your need. You should check with your Doctor if you miss any menstrual periods so that the cause for you missed periods may be determined.
Missed periods are common with increased levels of hormone, as in the case with birth control pills such as YAZ that work by raising estrogen and progestin levels. While you body is getting used to the increased levels of estrogen and progestin, there may be other responses like missed periods, such as changes in the uterine bleeding pattern at menses or between menses, increased or decreased bleeding at menstrual, breakthrough bleeding, spotting, or prolonged bleeding, or irregular periods.
These common side effects, however, should only last 3 – 4 months and then they should stop. If they do not, you should notify your doctor.
