Hi there...i can't seem to find any help on this. i was on Tricyclen for almost 5 years...towards the end i started spotting...so i switched to Minestrin..that made it worse. switched to Demulen...that lightened up the spotting..and there was less..but it was still there and wasn't predictable (sometimes during the first week, sometimes the second, etc.). Now i'm on Alesse...and i'm still spotting. i've tried 4 different pills and nothing is working...it gets abit better...but never clears it up completely. i've have healthy regular pap tests, no std's or infections, i am not pregnant..i've had this all checked out several times...it just seems like my body won't stop spotting. I want to stay on the pill...but am becoming very frustrated with why my spotting doesnt stop. it's also interfering with my intimate life. i'm in my 3rd month on alesse and started spotting VERY lightly again (only there when i wipe...in my second week of my cycle-10 days after my period finished)...is there anything out there i can do to make this stop? Anyone have the same experience (especially if you've been on Alesse) and can tell me that it'll clear up?
Thanks!

hi. i know this was posted a long time ago but thought it was worth replying anyway. i was wondering if you ever found a solution to your spotting. i have been spotting on and off for three years now and it's got progressively worse. like you, i have had normal smears etc and nothing abnormal has come up in any tests. i have tried numerous pills including progesterone-only pill. i came off the pill for six months and still had spotting. i am completely at a loose end and beginning to go a little mad. it may sound a little dramatic, but i feel like i don't have a normal life any more. i can't wear what i want or have a normal relationship with my boyfriend. i've had blood tests and seemed to be getting somewhere near a diagnosis along the lines of a platelet function disorder, but that has since been disregarded. if any one has any advice or a similar story, please do get in touch, if only to reassure me that i'm not the only one.
