I've been on the birth control pill Alesse for 4 months now. I've NEVER missed a pill, only have been late taking them, but never missed day.
I've been spotting during ovulation the past few months, so I asked my doctor and she said that the pills might not be strong enough for my body. She suggested using back up birth control when I have sex with my husband. The day before she told me this, I was ovulating and my husband and I had sex without back up. Since then, I have continued to spot, it has been five days since I ovulated. I'm expecting my period around the 23rd.
My question is, could I be pregnant, even though I'm doing all this spotting? It's too early to be implantation spotting, but if my birth control pills had a small chance of not working or being strong enough, need I worry?
