Dear Forum,

Friend of mine is a jogger. Average fitness, 30 years old, 1.85 metres tall, 77 kilos. Currently jogs around 12 miles per week (in three sessions) and rides a bicycle every day.

How many miles should he jog per week to maintain fitness? Not training for a marathon or anything like that. Key concern is damaging knees or tendons etc.

Would appreciate any comments from experienced joggers, sports/fitness trainers or any other jogging enthusiasts.
