The other day, I was riding my bike and enjoying the morning sun. As I accelerated through the turn I saw a dog in the road up ahead. I immediately grabbed the brakes in order to do an emergency stop. My weight was thrown forward onto the front wheel as the forks are compressed. Steering became heavy and the wheel started shuddering. I finally came to a stop and the dog looked at me with a big question mark above his head. Can you tell me how to stop heavy steering under braking?

No, there is no safe and efficient way to achieve that. When you reach certain speed the forces that push you forward are strong. When you hit the brake you are opposing the inertia. All your mass x speed your energy. Suddenly you are trying to convert all that energy into something else. The resistance and the friction are enormous. It is perfectly normal that you have hard time steering under such conditions. The only thing you can do is to go slowly. But, then again it takes away all the fun, doesnt it?
