I don't know what this means, but should I be worried?

I have been on the birth control pill for over a year, and all of a sudden I am bleeding and I shouldn't start for another 2 weeks. I don't know what this means, but should I be worried? I have never missed a day, the latest I have taken it was a couple hours later than what I was supposed to. What is going on??
