I have been on the depo shot for about 4 years

Hi people. I have been on the depo for about 4 years. I just got off it sometime in may because I realized that I had gained alot of weight .I gained about 2o pounds in a month and a half..from 145-162..I was devastated because I thought i was pregnant and that scared me. I have been off this shot since may..Started getting my period back which is only two cycles so far, My sex drive is not back at all and my emotions are so on and off. I didnot get my period this month and I hope am not pregnant due to the fact that my period does not come regularly. Will my body ever get back to normal?..I am very concerned or should i talk to my doctor?..answers please
