Well me see too. My daughter is 8m. Continuous bleeding since birth. Only stopped bleeding once for like 2 weeks then again for a couple days. Constant bleeding. Had depo 4weeks postpartum then again then stopped that and am on the mini pill. No help. I'm supposed to get the paraguard iud in a week but I'm scared to because I haven't stopped bleeding and I don't want it to be worse :(

I posted here before, I had the depo twice after birth. Then the mini pill, still bleeding up to 8months. Last week I went to the doc to get the ParaGuard iud put in. My doc said its possible that all the progestin from the birth controls is making my uterus thicken then shed to fast. Progestin thickens the walls of the uterus making it harder for an egg to get on there... ie birth control. Lol Well ParaGuardParaGuardr wrapped around the little iud thing. It makes the uterus hostile to sperm with absolutely no hormones or medication. Usually the only symptom is heavier periods, and it doesn't stop your periods like hormonal birth controls do. well this worried me seeing as I'd been bleeding for months. BUT!!!!!!#! They put it in, I had postpartum bleeding all over again for 5 days... then it stopped....... I haven't bleed in a week!!! And my vagina smells normal again. Not like metal. I highly suggest getting this. My uterus shed down to its normal thickness, I am protected by a highly affective, (#1 highest success rate) birth control, and I'm not bleeding anymore!!!!

Hi Hun hope you've got sorted now I had my son 10 months ago and have bled ever since with a few days off in between I've had tests done all normal been given hormones that didant work now on the pill which isant making a difference what so ever just wondering did you have to have treatment or did your body just return to normal ? As feel like I'm on my own with this until I came across your post and thought that's exactly how I am so any feedback from you would be much appreciated

I have had this problem since I had my second child I have been bleeding for nine years and it has stopped only two times in the past nine years for a three month period but it just doesnt stop here lately the clotting has gotten worse it has gone from quarter size to baseball size im very anemic I have to take iron pills I also crave ice from the anemia I get really tired from the loss of blood I have dark circles around my eyes and im really depressed if anyone has any idea what the problem could be .  I dont know if it is cancer or leftover placenta but im told that thoughs are two possibilities by ppl.

You should have had a D&c to remove the retained products. You can become septic of you don't take care of this. I know from experience and now having to very a historectomy from letting it go too long.

My son was born 2.5 months ago.  I recently had an obgyn visit and told her of my period-like bleeding 2 months after birth.  She immediately ordered an ultrasound to see if there was any placenta left in me which could be causing this since I was breastfeeding exclusively and hadn't had a period for almost a year after birth with my other two children.  I had had a c-section so a part of the placenta left in me would have been rare, but they checked and found nothing so she concluded it was just my hormones (or a period).  Meanwhile I'm bleeding off and on, sometimes filling a pantyliner, sometimes needing a pad.  I figure it's just my hormones!
