I've preread reviews and side effects before getting it inserted, and to be truthful, I had all those symptoms before the IUD. With any type of drug you take in you body, there will be some side effects. Not every drug suits everyone.

The commercials for the Yaz/Yazmin pill says its like not being on the pill, basically most side effects would be eliminated. Well....all the side effects listed with the IUD from everyone here, I had on the Yazmin pill ( was on it for 1.5 yrs). Worse yet, I've been on BPC for 12 years now and the worse side effects was with the Yazmin pill. Had my period with heavy spotting for an entire month with this pill, twice in one year. (Major spotting, severe cramps, weight gain, moody, no sex drive) I did try the ring, loved it cause I didn't have to think about it daily, but it did cause me to be more depressive and have aggressive behavior. I should have never change my BCP a few years ago as I had no issues with side effects until I changed which the doctor suggested since they found a fybroid and wanted me on a lower dose.

Yes your body does change as you age and I surely have noticed differences, such as being more emotional.....it doesn't take me much to start balling my eyes out, especially when watching a sappy movie. I was definitely not that way 10 years ago and I definitely don't blame the pill for it.

Not every birth control i s for everyone, but it is important to stay in tune with your body and realize what is a real side effect and what changes your body goes through. Don't let reviews stop you from getting an IUD, cause it might work for you. Please note some people who are happy with the product do not write reviews just because they don't search for issues and don't realize their positive reviews might help other people.

The side effects on the IUD certainly cannot be any worse that what I had before.....my major concern was spotting on the pill cause I'm allergic to pads and don't have the luxury to wear a panty-liners daily. ( I wear the DIVA cup and love it) This past year has been up and down when it came to the side effects with the pill, and quite frankly this is my last hope to a better birth control with less side effects. Like every drug it'll take awhile for the body to adjust before being able to tell if the side effects are unbearable......

I'll keep you posted!
