Just read your concerns whilst being on Kliovance, and everyone else’s. I to have put on lots of weight in the 4 months of taking it, particularly the last month, and the same areas as everyone else, stomach and breasts. I have a very healthy diet, never eating processed foods, cakes biscuits, snacks etc. I go to the gym and walk a lot. Therefore, I knew it wasn’t my diet. So it’s very reassuring that I have the same symptoms as everyone else. I do drink a fair amount of wine, so I wonder if Kliovance and alcohol a no no.So far I have put on maybe 5 kilos, so if my weight continues to rise then I think I shall have to come off it, as being overweight will outweigh the benefits. I will let ou know what happens.

I was on Estalis HRT previously but they had a major supply problem for almost 12 months & being menopausal my doctor changed me to Kliovance 3 months ago. It has caused me to gain weight & bloating, breast tenderness, stomach pain & mood swings so I am not happy with it at all. I checked with my pharmacist today & he told me the Estalis patch is now available so when it arrives next week I will be using that instead. The only plus side of Kliovance is that it is in tablet form whereas the better & safer HRT Estalis is a patch which can come off especially when you sweat.
If you can avoid Kliovance I recommend you do, I am so unhappy with it I was going to stop it whether the Estalis was available or not.

OMG have just read all these comments and it seams we all have one thing in common which is a bloated tum. I started HRT due to starting menopause and making me feel very low, no longer wanting to go to the gym and having a very low self esteem. The last thing i needed was this bloated tummy, so bad ive nor even wanted to weigh myself as i can already see what i dont want to know. As a matter of interest what did your doctor suggest.

I’ve put on quite a bit of weight over the nine months I’ve been taking it, but I suspect this is more a side effect of menopause than hormone replacement therapy.
Remember, the very reason you’re taking Kliovance also generally causes weight gain - the so-called “middle age spread” refers to weight gain after menopause.

Weight gain is generally a natural consequence of menopause, and it’s umfortunately not corrected by hormone replacement therapy. Any weight gain you experience is more likely down to menopause, rather than the Kliovance.

Hi all I have been on kilovance for less than a week and am so fed up of the stomach cramps/into the groin cramps, bloating/water retention that I am taking myself off them.

Feel worse on them and will probably look for a herbal alternative.

I have been on the lowest dose for one week and my stomach is bloated and painful. I wasn’t even 100% sure I needed HRT I know I haven’t given it very long but I think I will stop & go back to it if and when my symptoms are worse

I've been taking kliovance for HRT for 3 weeks now and have had my period again for 2 weeks. Is this normal? I have not had a period for about a year before this.
