Hi Elsia,
Koch's disease is another term for tuberculosis. Dr. Koch "discovered" the disease. It's already caused lung damage and is active in the upper left top of your lung.
See your pulmonologist/doctor. You need to get this treated. Scarring from the lung damage is permanent and can not be reversed.
Good luck.

How could I have gotten the disease? Could it be because I took care of my brother who had TB before? Should I isolate myself from my kids?

Talk to your Doctor. I know nothing of your history, etc.
In general terms, you are contagious. Yes, it could be from your brother. Your children may be at risk.
You indicate it is "active." That means you are currently infected and can spread the disease.
