Okay so I am 19 years old. I am married and for about a month and a half now I have been bleeding. I spot everyday, sometimes it's heavy spotting. I bleed during intercourse and I have no Idea why! It never happened before until recently. We've slowed down on doing anything because obviously something is going on with my body. I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant because I have taken tests and they have all come back negative. I'm not really cramping but my breast are sore sometimes and I have a slight weight gain. But I haven't really been working out or anything like I used to since this started happening (explains weight gain). Sometimes the spotting is regular blood but most of the time it's brownish and in clots. I was just wondering if anyone could help me figure out what's wrong me, it would be so much appreciated. I have a doctors appt in 2 weeks but I just wan an idea sooner!

even though the pregnancy tests are coming back negative, you may be pregnant. It can take a little while for the hormones to change and register on the tests. The only reason I say this is because you mentioned your breasts were sore sometimes. When pregnant, it's normal to have spotting. Just some thoughts. Your dr. should be able to tell you more and retest you for pregnancy.

Im in the same boat. I am 25 and been bleeding on and off for years. I cant remember the last time I stopped spotting. Try all the following as I have done. None of these are the problem for me now but I have had no change. I had low iron due to bleeding but all sorted, I had my thyroid checked and I was put on thyroxine due to hypothyroid. My level are all good now. I recently had a hysteroscopy and they said nothing was abnormal a slightly thick endo but nothing to worry about but they did find a tentical/folical like thing that they are not sure what it is. My gyno said they dont know if it is contributing to my periods or whether it will stop me from ttc. Go get checked out. My doc said because I cant confirm when im ovulating buy a bunch of ovulation tests and keep trying. I have just started ttc so hopefully all goes well. Advice I got: Eat healthy take vitamins and dont stress. In regards to ovulating if you still are you can still fall pregnant while spotting. when you have heavy bleeding wait till it finishes and test for ovulation a couple days after coz my guess is that may be your period. Good Luck to you and your husband and remember ur not alone.

hello, I can't say this will help, but here's my experience. I had a healthy baby at 26, and had normal cycles for the next 3 years. At 29 I had a 2 month long heavy, clotty period. It was horrible. Then my cycles went back to normal.

The doctor said as long as my cycles had returned to normal, it was no big deal."It happens" is basically what he was saying. Fast forward, now i am 31 and my husband and i have been trying for nearly a year to concieve with no success.

And to add injury to insult, I've been lightly bleeding for at least the past 2 months. So not only weren't we concieving when my cycles were normal, now I don't even know when or IF I'm ovulating at all. It's depressing. i don't want to sleep with my husband.. I can't go swimming. All my excitement about decorating a nursery and buying baby clothes is gone.

I've never thought I'd need help concieving after the first one came so easily. But it may get to that point.

I am 34, very overweight, and have PCOS.  I rarely get periods unless I take Provera, but my doctor told me to try and take it every month, because she said not having a period increases your risk of cancer, so I have been trying to take it more regularly and took it over a month ago and had a very medium period for about 3 days and stopped and then my husband and I had sex and directly after I started bleeding HEAVILY with HUGE CLOTS and so I think that maybe my period wasn't done, but then weeks pass and I am still bleeding.  She tells me to start the Provera again, but the Provera only lightens it a little bit, and I am still spotting as I write this.  I have stopped the 10 days of Provera so I assume it will now start to get heavy again.  My doctor thinks it is hormonal, but if this doesn't stop in a few more weeks, I am going to get another ultrasound.  I will post here what I find out.  I am afraid to have sex again now, because I am afraid I will start bleeding heavily again.  I am wondering if I have fibroids or a polyp or even endometriosis.  I think doctors dismiss this abnormal bleeding too easily.  The only advise I can give is to take a daily women's vitamin to help keep up your iron levels.  If any of you ladies figure out anything please post it here!

I'm 26 and have the same problem for 3 months now. On off "spotting"... pass through clots, jelly like mucus through urine. It's light brown blood, sometimes it's so light it doesn't even leak to my pad, I only know through toilet tissue. I don't get any regular period pains such as cramping, just the blood. I don't drink, don't smoke, and not overweight, but I am sexually active, although not so much in the past 3 months for this reason. I put mine down to stress at first because of my job, but it's still going on. I'm going to the doctors in 2 days, so hopefully get some answers then.

I've been to the doctors. She explains that some women just have irregular cycles, sometimes for no reason. I have to have a few tests to rule out anything. Bloody tests for hormone levels, and a scan for cysts on ovaries which apparently can cause irregular bleeding.

I feel a lot better for going to the doctors, so I urge anyone having this to go and have a talk and see if there are any of these things which can be solved.
