Light Double Spotting

Hi, I just recently experienced the oddest thing with my "menstrual cycle" (atleast I'm just calling it that). I was suppose to have my period anywhere between the 5/10 of this month (I give it time span as I know some months it verys) but last Monday I had a VVEERRYY light bleeding, so light it was literally just in one wipe, I checked to make sure it wasn't in my urine, and it wasent. I wasn't as concerned, as I know sometimes these things happen in a woman's life, but now I am considering the fact that exactly a week later it's happend again, and my period is no where to be found! It is so light it appears in just about 1 wipe, so it's just like a few second spotting in all honesty. My old gyn said I could have ovarian cyst but there's nothing she could do about it, we also had some other issues so I dropped her due to arguments and the fact she miss diagnosed me and a few other patients I know personally. I have a new appointment set up, but can't get in until the middle of JUNE! So now I leave my question in the hands of you hoping some one possibly has had the same experience of atleast some idea as to why this is happening! Thank You and Good Luck!,
