I was diagnosed with MDDS after a super calm cruise. I actually was about 30 hours away from getting my captain's license, so I have lived on the water for years without issues. One 3 day cruise ruined me. A regular Dr. can only look at symptoms and send you along. An ENT Dr. can reset your crystals and check for other things, and then truly diagnose you with MDDS. They say "it is in the brain" and there is not much you can do. well, my kid was getting an alternative treatment for ADD which helps all areas of the brain and I tried it. One session and I knew it helped. After the second session it was done. This saved my life. I had others looking for neurofeedback practitioners and which ones would be best to use and the owner of this site helped others find trainers in their area with the same type of full brain system. Contact them for an alternative. Hope this helps.

Can you please list what kind of alternative treatment it was for the ADD?? I've tried just about everything and I'm going on 3 years of MdDs. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I've had Mdds 24/7 every day for 7 weeks! I'm so frightened by the feelings of movement like I'm on a waterbed sitting, standing, walking and even laying down!!!
Did quitting birth control pills completely get rid of your mdds?
Please help!!

I got Mdds a month after a car accident, not even sure if it's related.

Hi, so I have Mdds now for 7 weeks, going crazy and depresses with no hope.
How much Ativan dos you take and how many doses per day? I want to ask my doctor to prescribe some for me to try.

I am currently trying nuerofeedback for my MdDS also. I have had 4 sessions and don't notice any improvement yet. How long did it take before you saw results? I'm excited to hear this worked for someone!

hi i am curious about what you said that you didnt take the pill and you got mdds after disembark from the boat. I have the same exact situation! i stopped my birth control pill and the next day i went on the boat; arrived on land and i was still ok but the next day i started to feel rocking symptoms until today. I had my mdds just about 3 weeks plus ago. i hope my next period will cure it like yours! have you had another episode since?

I'm the rock concert guy. I think the cure had more to do with the sound levels causing my ears to ring WHILE having to rebalance myself during the event.

I got MDDS after hitting my head on a table 6 months ago. Haven't stopped rocking, bobbing and swaying since!
