I had the exact same thing happen to me, and it was a nightmare. It took forever to get a doctor to actually care about my pain or understand enough to actually treat it. I finally found a doctor who prescribed me a low level antidepressant to treat the inflamed nerve endings that were causing me pain. I'm a lot better today, but I still have some pain. To anyone out there with a vagina: don't use monistat 1, don't beat yourself up if you did use it, and don't let anyone discount your pain.

Please please under no circumstances use this product! My wisdom tooth is growing in so I was prescribed Penicillin to prevent inflection but I started developing a Yeast infection. The next day I got this product on my way to work around 10am. I inserted the egg and started feeling some relief a hour later. But shortly after i started getting back pain and muscle aches. Around 4pm I was feeling this burning sensation and I knew something was wrong so i rushed home and douched the hell out of my vagina with apple cider vinegar and water and I instantly felt 80% better. DO NOT USE THIS sh*t !

I used monistat 7 this is my first yeast infection and it is due to me taking metronidazole for bv. Now 2 min later i am experiencing an itchy burning uncomfortable feeling.

Yup. Same thing happened to me after taking the Monisat 3 ovule. Extremely swollen, burning, itching, rash on my inner thighs. Went to Urgent care and got Diflucan and some steroids for the rash. A couple things that really really helped... 1) Aloe vera plant. Peel off the outer skin and rub the gel part all over down there. Helped immensely. 2) Coconut oil and mother raw apple cider vinegar. Dilute the apple cider vinegar with water (like a teaspoon of vinegar and a 2 teaspoons of water) and a scoop of coconut oil. Stir it all together, stick it on a tampon and put it up there. Then slather it all over everything else. That brought HUGE relief. Today my va jay jay is still red but actually looks normal. Hope that will help other ladies cause it's a horrible thing to go through!!!

This SAME EXACT THING happened to me!!! Same boat and all with yeast infection number and prior treatments! My symptoms were super mild and since I visit a military doctor I didn’t feel like making a heafty mikes trip to the doctors was necessary so I purchased the ovule. I used it a few nights after I bought it since my symptoms persisted. That night I got a collective one hour of sleep i was up constantly in pain from the constant burning I felt. I genuinely thought something was seriously wrong. I woke up the next morning swollen to the point where I couldn’t walk, I was throbbing and burning and itching. I tried to stick it out hoping this horrible feeling would subside and it only got worse. I called my doctor crying begging for an urgent appointment and thankfully she got me in a few hours later. I will NEVER use this product again and I suggest no women even risk it. I will forever be reluctant to using monistat and non prescribed vaginal medication. Honestly gals, make the trip to the doctors it’s 100x better than the feeling this gave me...

I had the same experience but even more so with an internal itching sensation that was absolutely unbareable! I did exactly what this post suggest by getting the treatment out of your vaginal canal ASAP!!! Immediately the itching went away the more I removed the product. It’s 3am and I just want to sleep in peace.

So I just took this thing an hour ago, and it started itching really bad. I just sat in the tub with the shower head pointing at my vagina cuz gawd damn that felt so much better. Btw not sober. But now the itching is gone and I feel the burn that everyone is talking about and I can’t sleep. Currently 12:50 and I have school tmrrow and I now have a fan pointing at my vagina between my legs. And it’s not going that bad. Let’s hope it doesn’t get worst and the weekend will go smoothhhhhh. I’m just trynna improvise but oof Lw scared with these reviews.

I just used monistate 3 hours ago and I'm burning like crazy when I got up to pee I felt like I was going to lose consciousness . Thank fully I made it to the kitchen and got juice . It feels like some one else stated in a post earlier like I just gave birth . I had used the monistate1once before a few years back with no problems how ever now I'm weak and burning and feel the onset of a headache. I'm going to the doctor

My wife took Monistat 3 over three weeks ago and is still burning up. Nothing helps but the ice pack, as others have suggested. I notice a lot of women on this thread have asked if this ever clears up, but we've had no reply. Maybe it cleared up and the women don't want to revisit this page due to emotional trauma? Or maybe it never cleared up and they lost their minds? I would love to know, because my wife is really suffering. 

I contacted Monistat via their website today but unfortunately forgot to copy what I wrote before sending. I haven't even got a "we received your message" message. If I don't hear back tomorrow I will rewrite my communication and save it first. FDA-regulated products have to follow a protocol when a complaint is received about their product. Let's see what Monistat does. 

Has anyone else contacted Monistat? What about the FDA? Lawyer? I'm going to work in that order and I'll keep you posted. But it would be helpful to know if anyone has gone this route already. 

If you're reading this, you are suffering. My heart goes out to you, hang in there. At least you know you're not alone.
