My hymen or my period?

I was using my water jet sprayer. (Shower head) to massage my clit, when I got out of the bath I started bleeding semi heavily, I am on the last day of my menstutal cycle so I was wondering if this was just what was left over or if I actually broke my hymen. I don't really feel any pain, there was just a twinge when I stood up and shortly after that the bleeding started. Which one of these is currently going on, I am terrified of loosing my virginity, but the bleeding was a little much for my last day. Thanks a lot!
