About a month ago, I finally got courage to get Hymenectomy because having sex with my husband was extremely painful. The surgery took about 45 minutes and I wasn’t allowed to eat or drink anything on the morning of the surgery. I fell asleep in about 10 minutes after entering the operation room so I didn’t remember or feel anything. It wasn’t painful until I got out of the surgery room. I had constant bleeding and urinating was quite difficult, because the whole area down there is very sensitive and tendered. However, the pain wasn’t unbearable.

I walked funny during the first couple weeks, but after that I can run, jump and do pretty much anything other than extreme exercise. It has been a month now, but the skin down there hasn’t been completely healed. The doctor said I will be able to have sex without pain in a month or two. I wrote this to help those people who are confused about the surgery. It is a minor procedure and doesn’t cause that much pain. You can ask me questions if you are still not sure about the procedure, I’m willing to help ;)
