Hi, a month ago my mom had a stroke and it seems to me like whole family is in depression and silence since then. It is very difficult for me to except that she will be partly paralyzed, until the end of her life.

I know how you are feeling, since my mom had a stroke two years ago. She is unable to speak, and was weak, barely walking. Later she developed a drinking problem, and visited a therapist to help her deal with her disabilities. I believe that she suffers from a depression, as she has no will for doing things she used to like. She takes antidepressants regularly to keep her mood in good state, but I am still so worried about her. She has memory and concentration problems, so she doesn’t really express her feelings. It is not easy to deal with consequencies of stroke, not for patient nor for his family.
