My period? Or something else?

     so I woke up to go to the bathroom and there was a bit of blood on my underwear. I didn't think anything of it so I just went back to sleep. I woke up again to go to the store and when I came back there was blood smeared all over my underwear . I instantly thought it was my period. But what I noticed was that it would slightly hurt when I peed and all the cramps that I got were on my upper stomach , not on my lower abdomen. I have had a lot of blood and it doesn't smell either. No mood changes or anything. There has also been some blood clots involved as well so that's why I'm not sure it is my period or if it's an infection .
