I have been off the depo shot for almost 3 months, and i too have been battling with horrible horrible nausea. It comes and goes throughout the day, or it may last all day. Is this happening because my body is trying to get back to normal? Thanks

I have been off depo now for almost 2 months. I feel like I am going crazy! I have stomach pains/nausea in the evenings, and the moods swings are horrible. I also feel like I am pregnant, and am not . I have been taking a womens B12, and have recently started the pill trying to get myself back to normal. If I would have known how this shot (that the doctors praise) was going to do to me I would have NEVER gotten it!!! This is horrible, and I am miserable in my own body!

I am going through this, too! I thought I was crazy, but seeing other poeple experience the same thing makes me believe it is from the shot. I was on it for about 2 years. I put on about 20 pounds so I decided I would stop and try the IUD. I was due to take my shot about 6 weeks ago. I am sick to my stomach. Everything I eat makes me feel...'salty' like a hang over. I eat a lot of vegies/smoothies, so It's not like I'm eating salty processed food. That's not it. I haven't actually thrown up but I feel like I am on the verge all the time! I have an annoying wattery mouth and a metallic taste in my mouth. :( Yuck.

You are not the only ones! I have been on my 2nd round of depo for almost exactly three months now and the hormones have been hell. For the past week I have had THE WORST digestion, nausea throughout the day, vomitting occasionally, and diarrhea. Other recent symptoms include general mental fogginess, lots of mood swings, and also an annoyingly watery mouth (not to mention nonstop spotting for the past two weeks). These symptoms seem to be more than coincidence, and it is outrageous that they have not been addressed by depoprovera or the doctors that provide it. I don't even know if I should just get the shot again just to feel better because otherwise on top of the symptoms above, my periods last for weeks at a time without birth control intervention.
