I'm on Aviane birth control and have been for just over a full year. Last week was my period week for the month. However, I didn't bleed at all, I totally skipped my period! I went to the doctor to get bloodwork done and I am not pregnant. I have to go through a referrel system to see a GYN.
What could cause a skipped period while on birth control other than being pregnant? Could this be early menopause? I'm 19 and a newlywed (to a sailor in the Navy). I have heard of early menopause happening to women in their 20s, but I thought I was clear of that for a few more years. Eary menopause does NOT run in my family.
Any help at all to help me figure out what is wrong with me will be greatly appreciated.

I just finished my first month on Aviane a week ago (I had been on Yaz for about 8months prior). I got all of the symptoms of a period, bloating, mood swings, cravings and brown discharge but no actual period. Is this normal?

Buscell, same with me, although I have been on Aviane since November 2010. I have never had problems until now. I had a heavy brown period in the first week of April, in which I started getting severe constipation. It lasted all through April until the present, including symptoms like being emotional, bloated, and lots of white discharge. Then when my period was due last week, it NEVER CAME! Only a tiny brown smudge that was mucus-like on my underwear. Very weird.. I'm 16 and my boyfriend and I are sexually active. I'm really scared please help!

I have that same exact problem. Well, I'm 17 though. But I just started taking these pills (on my 2nd month) and missed my first period, same with the constipation and white discharge... now it's on the last week of the second month and no period yet either! What happened with your situation??

Literally the exact same thing happened to me! I’m 26, married and have been on BC for years. The third week of my pill pack I started having brown discharge, enough to wear a tampon. Four week on my sugar pills and NOTHING! Just a tiny bit of brown discharge and no blood!
