pcos and extremely out of norm periods

I am a 23 yo female with pcos and previous to about 8 months ago my cycle was "fairly" regular (about every 45 days give or take a week and 4 days of heavy bleeding) but since about 8 months ago my cycles have changed to around 25-31 days and inbetween 10-20 days light bleeding (no more than 1 or 2 tampons in a 12 hour period). I was wondering if this change is related to the pcos or is it something more serious that i should go to the dr about?
