Dermatitis caused by pellagra may occur more often as a symptom of absorption disorder rather than malnutrition form. Niacin is really widely distributed in plant and animal foods. Rigorous cereals diets may cause niacin deficiency, but pellagra is usually associated with other micronutrient deficiencies. Recommendation for niacin daily intake is 13-19 mg.
