Hi, I am a 25yr old lady.. I had unprotected sex on dec 15th & 16th, also on dec 22nd & 23rd. If I were to take plan b now, how likely would it be that it would be effective in preventing pregnancy taken that late?
Also, my last period was dec 8, if that is at all important.
Thanks :$

Plan B is effective for up to 72 hours after unprotected intercourse, so if you took it on the 24th it may prevent a pregnancy from the unprotected sex on the 22nd and 23rd. However, it is not 100% effective and its efficiency decreases the longer you leave it before it is taken ie works best the sooner you take it.

If you have a 28 day cycle, then you would have been most fertile around the 22nd (day 14). If you have a longer cycle this day would change.

In future, please consider using condoms or another form of birth control.
