Withdrawal definitely won't make you die. But with things like percocet you need to gradually withdraw them to stop the effects, you should speak to your doctor about getting some more and arrange a withdrawal schedule.
If you can't see your doctor, or go to a hospital or anything, there's not a lot you can do if afraid except ride it out. The worst is usually the first 72 hours. And all symptoms should subside within a couple of weeks.
Best option is definitely to speak to your doctor though.

I took percocet5 for a torn miniscus and cartiledge in a knee...since it was weeks until the workmans comp came thru, Ithe surgeon made me comfortable w/ plenty of perks...but I took them sparingly and after surgery another 2 weeks, gradually tapering myself down..
Best thing is go to the doc and get a limited supply and have a withdrawl schedule...then again you CAN tough it out...most withdrawls are for 3 dats, and it would get better..I quit smoking 3 years ago---that was a REAL biddy
