If I am on birth control, but I am changing my pill this month and I had unprotected sex on the last day of my period (the last pill before changing it). When I change the pill, it's like starting all over again, so the pill won't be effective for the first month. Can I get pregnant?

If you have been regular with your old birth control pill and depending on how long have you been on it, changing to the new birth control should be just like starting a next pack because you are still protected by the hormones from the pills you have taken the month before. Besides, even if you weren't regular the month before, new BC pill should become effective in about two-three weeks, not a month. And you can get pregnant only when you ovulate which happens roughly in the middle between your two cycles - when you are not on birth control. Birth control stops ovulation, so, it all depends now on how long have you been on the pill and have you been taking it regularly.
