I am 23 years old and have been on Allese for 2 years now. I have a stressful work environment and have been taking Effexor for Anxiety and Depression. A month ago, I was having such horrible constipation that I decided to stop my effexor as that is one of the side effects. I then had a heavy 3 weeks of bleeding, followed by my normal period. I have not been good about taking my pill at the same time every day and I think once or twice I had to double up the dose in the morning because I forgot to take it the night before.
I just came from the Doctor and because I am a little tired and constipated, she wants me to get a blood test for pregnancy. I am freaking out. I am too terrified to go get the blood work done because I do not want to be pregnant right now. I am about to immigrate to London for school. Am I tired because I am off my depression meds or am I pregnant? I would appreciate any guidance.

Hi honey! Effexor does NOT affect Allese! And you also have to miss SEVERAL days in a row for the pill to be negated. Remember that anxiety and stress can affect SO much with your body, so you NEED to take this test honey! Either way it will answer your questions, IF you are NOT pregnant - which I don't think you are - then you can breathe easily and move on. IF you are then you will need to investigate what to do next! Take the test honey, if you stick your head in the sand, mother nature WILL come by and kick you in the bum!!!
