I'm currently 33 years old and am going through nursing school, cna school and also have a job it seems my life is hectic so therefore it creates allot of anxiety it feels like I never feel well I am always sore have terrible headaches stomachaches tired sore joint and muscles I currently take effexor, Lamictal clonipin and ambien to sleep the doctor sometimes prescribes me Hydrocodones If I take to 7.5 mg per evening time around 7 I feel 100 times better that is all I ever take is just two a day the doctor originally prescribed a short few for when I get migraines but have found this helps with my depression and anxiety, Do you think if i explained this to a doctor about how much this helps my depression and anxiety he would prescribe for the month along with my other medications? Do you think this creates a drug problem? I never crave them or feel the need to just take them because I cant stand it any longer its just something that I can take that takes the edge off and makes me feel like a totally new better person please advise your opinion on what I can do maybe to replace the feeling I get when I take them or if you think a doctor would prescribe them to me to help with the other ailments because without them I am miserable...

STOP STOP STOP!!!!!
Be careful buddy ..our brain has a way of keeping track of what helps us feel better..thats what addiction is,,when the body doesnt have to overcome any of its disfunctions because it is receiving them from an outside source,,this will never never be the answer..i would suggest you try and get off things as soon as you can ,,you will end up a prescription junkie and your life will really suck..and once you get there you will wonder how you got there,,and its so hard to come back once youve crossed that line..medications should only be a short term solution,,well mood altering medications that is,,dude youve got to change something in your life..you must be hanging onto a lot of things that you need to let go of..acceptance of our lives right in the moment will free us from all of our worries and miseries..it works it really does..i would suggest that you go to a narcotics anonymous meeting and tell of your troubles,,im sure you will find people that you identify with after some time..i would suggest you do as many meetings as you can in the first 90 days ,,get someone to help you do the program of action and if you are not 100 percent better off at the end of that then you can have your misery refunded and you are free to go ..i guarantee you buddy ..if you do what ive said and do it to the best of your ability with 100 percent honesty and willingness ,,then you will be a different person in 3 months and you will not understand how your life is so much better ,,it just will be ..good luck buddy !!!

hey khw918 i am 24 years old and I took effexor when I was 17 years of age and it gave me headaches upset stomach,  made me feel like c**p, these effects got worse when ever I missed a few doses and I also had suicidal thoughts and actions.  When ever I got off the med, after a couple of weeks went by the side effects and withdrawal from the effexor went away.  Recently, my dad started taking effexor, ignoring the warnings I gave him and he experienced the same problems.  I would suggest looking into the effexor side effects more because it could be making your problems worse.  I have heard nothing good about the drug and thats from my experience and hearing it from other people as for the hydrocodone I have no idea about the drug and was wondering the same thing you were. Good luck It gets better
