In October, i started bleeding after sex, which has never happened to me before. I was not due to have my period, but the bleeding went on for about 7 or 8 days which is not normal for me. I was not on birth control at that time.
I saw my gynae after the bleeding stopped. she noticed nothing abnormal. No lacerations, pap smear was normal, no STDs, one cyst on an ovary but she said it was not related to the bleeding and not cancerous. on the same day, i started the Depo. (this was the end of october).
Since then (for the past two months), the only time I started bleeding was during/after sex but it always stopped within 24 hours so I thought it was just sex related. But then two weeks ago, i started bleeding even though I did not have any sex, and it has not stopped since.
Has anyone else had this experience? This is obviously not normal (i always had regular periods before) and I will be seeing my gynae again fairly soon, but does anyone have any idea what it could be? please help :-(

This is currently happening to me. I am on the pill and have been for about a year now. Exactly one week ago my boyfriend and I were having pretty rough sex and after that I began to bleed. It was light at first then proceeded to be heavier and then got light again. It still hasn't stopped. I've looked up some things online and I found that one strong possibility is implantation bleeding. It occurs around one week before your period, and the day my bleeding began was about 13 days before I would begin bleeding normally. I'm concerned I may be pregnant and I'm only 18 and still live at home with very overprotective parents so I don't want to take it to extremes if not necessary. Let me know if you figure any of this out please, it'd be a great help to me.
