This is why you should work closely with your doctor, report any side effects, so that you can find a drug that suits you. When I was prescribed Quinipril, I was advised to take a zinc supplement. It was determined in some other ACE inhibitors that long use may lead to zinc deficiency. It wasn’t known if the same thing happens with Quinipril, so I was taking zinc supplements as well. I experienced no side effects from this drug.
