Hi
I have a question for other women here. I'm 21 and a virgin. I can't use tampons or even fit one finger into my vagina without it hurting. I know it could be because I still have my hymen, but it shouldn't be painful, right? I also have horrible bleeding and pain (I'm on methadone to stop it.) every month. My period usually lasts 7 days but I can feel the pain and other symptoms coming on about 2 weeks before it starts. I've been to my OB/GYN and he just brushes me off and just thinks I'm seeking medicine. On the other hand my other doctor that I've known for 3 years thinks something is seriously wrong with my reproduction system. Long story short, when I was 12 I had my appendix removed and I had 5 surgical clips left in me. One fell one my ovary another was digging into my uterus. But since that happened no OB/GYN wants to touch me or do an exploratory surgery to see whats wrong. Has anyone had something like this happen? Please help, suggest anything!

This is just random but you could infact have a Microperforate hymen. A microperforate hymen is a type of hymen that almost completely covers the opening to a young women's vagina. Some menstrual blood may be able to flow out however a person with a microperforate hymen usually will not be able to get a tampon into her vagina and may not realize that she has a very tiny opening. I hope this usefull. :-)
