I too, had a depo medrol 80mg shot in the glutes for bursitis in my shoulder 7 weeks ago. Insomnia, anxiety, crying jags, sensitive to light and sound, muscles twitching all over, feelings of disconnection, headaches, shakey, dizzy, elevated BP (now on beta blocker) and rapid heart rate when I eat or try to sleep... up every night until 2 or 3. my general Dr (not the othor who gave me the shot after knowing me for 4 minutes) doesn't believe it's related. I cried to her and she told me "it's out of your system in 48 hours". Well, it's likely out of my system, but it put my adrenal glands out of commision and my poor body thinks it's in fight or flight all the time. Google the HPA axis and it will give you some info. Our bodies are brilliantly engineered machines. I should have never allowed this injection to enter my muscle (and hence to spread through my entire blood stream). Never again. And I'm not taking the Zoloft she prescribed either! Remember all my fellow sufferers - THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!

I received Cortisone shot in Bellevue Bone & Joint Physicians and fainted after 1-2min. Nobody was present in the room, so I wallow on my own for a few minutes. Then I called for a help. Somebody came, offer me a water, said that I'll be fine and I draw home...
What an experience!

How are you doing since your injection? I'm right where you are now when you wrote this - coming up on nine months. It makes me cry when people or doctors tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about, and that it would be out of my system. The implications is that you're making things up (which is funny because most of the symptoms like hair loss, weight distribution, skin mottling, etc. you can physically see.)

I have psoriatic arthritis and take an injectible; but was feeling bed from a virus and was given a cortisone shot. Not sure if this is an issue of polypharmacy or a real reaction to the cortisone?
