Felt like I had a minor yeast infection. Was almost considering just seeing if my body would correct it itself but with my anniversary coming up, I would like to have sex... so I figured what the hell and got monistat 1. I had used monistat 7 once about 11 years ago for one and worked ok. For about 2 hours I felt nothing then BOOM. Insane itching and burning about 20 times worse than my yeast infection symptoms. I keep reading everyone's comments and hoping someone would come
Back and say it was completely better in the morning. I don't know how I am going to go to work like this! Going to the doc and getting s pill is way easier!! Unless I feel a drastic change in the morning, I am
Never using this product again. Wtf is up with this stuff?!

Used monistat 1 cure and itch ovule about 2 hours ago. Went to the bathroom about 30 minutes ago and noticed the ovule leaking out. Put on some more external cream and laid down and then the intense burning and itching started!! Had to take a hot shower and rinse out my vagina thoroughly. Also took Benadryl. Put more external cream on and laying down now. Feeling much better.

If you are or were using maxi pads during your period, those may be the culprit to the YI. Lack of air and enclosing moisture will create the environment for yeast to live and populate.

I wish I would have read this first. I used it about 1.5 hours ago and I am half tempted to go to the ER because the burning and itching are so bad. Never, Again, will I ever use this product!!

I'm 19, I've had probably 5 yeast infections in the past, I've used Monistat 1,3, and 7. Never had a problem! I'm on antibiotics for a skin rash right now so I think that's the source of my yeast infection. I waited longer than I normally do to go get Monistat, I don't know why, probably about a week of symptoms but the last few days the itching has been unbearable and all I wanted to do is stick a fork down there and scratch!! I scratched myself so hard I cut myself (not with a fork lol). This has happened before but tonight I used the first night of Monistat 3, and almost instantly after using it, probably the time it took me to walk from my bathroom to my bedroom, my vagina is ON FIRE. I've never experienced something so bad before! I just want to scrape it all out of me! I think it might be partly the cut, but that is outside my vagina and the burning is both inside and out! It's been about half an hour since I used it and I took 4 ibuprofen to maybe help the burn. I told my mom how bad it was burning and she told me it always burns her when she uses it, and that sometimes a baking soda bath could help?? Not sure about that one. The burning has gone down a bit, maybe from the ibuprofen, or maybe just time. But I'm scared to use the next 2 days worth!! I want my yeast infection gone but I'm scared the burning will happen again or be even worse!! Maybe I'll try Monistat 7 instead or should I just tough it out for 2 more nights??

Hey ladies, this is my first YEAST infection ever in my life! I'm 23 years old! Like an id**t I bought monistat 1, I read on the box that it's a one day remedy.... what it didn't say is that for that one day you'll be damned in hell for what seems like an eternity!!! I bought it at CVS for about 27 bucks, got home took a bath cleaned my vagina very well, had my boyfriend insert the little egg looking thing and proceeded on with my day! I went to diner and everything seemed great, about an hour after dinner I started twitching from how itchy it felt inside of me, I rushed home and tried to push out whatever I put inside of me while sitting on the toilet... the only think that came out was a white liquid that I assume is from that egg looking thing. I took a warm bath for like 5 mins, my boyfriend walks in and says that google doesn't advice warm baths while you have a yeast infection, I got out immediately but it helped a lot. I'm laying in bed now, still itches but not like before! I'm holding on strong guys! f**k yeast infections!

I got the same strange euphoric feeling and strange taste in my mouth after using just the cream before inserting the pod. I was so freaked out that I washed it all off. Is it an allergic reaction?!?!

So I took the monistat 1 around 12 and my vagina felt fine I got up to pee around 3:30 am and my vagina has been burning really bad ever since I can't even sleep and I have to work at 7 am I tried using the anti itch cream and that didn't help at all I tried using the wipes still no relief I hope the pain goes away soon I literally want to cry :( if I knew it was this strong and unbearable I would've used the 3 or 7 day one.

I frequently get yeast infections from my birth control mirena and normally I take a round or two of the diflucan pill and it clears up fine. It's been a few days and im still irritated. So I used ovule monistat 1 and was fine until an hour or so later when I was burning and even more itching ! I have always hated this product and I now remember why !!!! Monistat will clear the infection but the increase in burning and itching is so not worth it !
