In my personal opinion, it is just codeine, one of the ingredients or should I say compartments of solpadeine, that can cause side effects. Codeine's side effects range from trouble with peeing to headaches to stomach upsets, and worse. While on solpadeine, you have to avoid alcohol. Does that answer your question?
