Spotting before my period, while on the pill

Hi I am on the pill and on Friday I missed my pill I have only on them for a week or more and me and my boyfriend had sex on the Friday night, we didn't use a condom but he pulled out, I have just started to spot brown but it's very light spotting, I am worried I could be pregnant please help thanks (:

from what i know spotting is normal when your on the pill, but im a little scared because last friday i took my "friday" pill and fell asleep. i woke up that same night thinking i didnt take my pill and took saturdays by accident. i didnt realize i made this mistake until i took my "sunday" pill on saturday. i didnt take anything on sunday, i just continued my pack as normal, my sister (who is also on the pill) told me i should be fine, maybe have my period early or late, but again i forgot that i did this last week and had un-protected sex today (friday), right after this i noticed that im spotting but shouldnt have my period until this coming wednesday or thursday. i am such an id**t but this week has been so hectic, if anyone knows what i should do please respond. im not ready to have children yet. :(

Hi All,

I was wondering if you could shed some light. Basically i am on birth control, but i have never agreed to any other them and always bleeding with them.

I took a pill really late on day as i forgot, and the next day i started brown/red €potting, this lasted a whole week before my period is due, whilst feeling cramping,bit sicky and stomach feels really ''heavy'' and its in the morning that its mor apparant and really sore and cramping hurts. My period was due sunday and now its tuesday and nothing, its totally gone, so still awaitng for it to happen as i am in my 7 day break between pills and just wondering if any of you could shed some light on my situation????

I am not currently sexually active and I am on the "pill". I'm no expert at this but I would say that the spotting is not caused by pregnancy because like I said there is no way that I could be pregnant and I am having the spotting. Simply skipping a pill or not taking it at around the same time daily can affect this and it just depends on your body how it reacts. I can definitely say that if you are on the pill and plus you used a condom that is like double protection so I would not worry about being pregnant. Stress can sometimes cause spotting or early periods so if you are highly stressed maybe you need to take a load off and that will help. Like I said I am by far no professional but from personal experience I would say don't freak out about it as much as you are.

Please help me icebreaker I started taking birth control at the end of June and everything was good until the week before my period I started spotting but I thought that it was because I was used to starting alittle earlier then when I was suppose to start with my birth control pills so I didn't worry about it. Two weeks after I got off my period I started spotting again I let it go for a week and then I called my doctor and they switched me to something else and it has been two weeks now and I'm still bleeding. Please help me it is getting so annoying not to mention that I am getting married in a month and a half and I need this taken care of.

i just started taking birth control and a week later i began bleeding last week . it first started out brownish and then went to red till this day the bleeding still continues which makes it a week im very scared and confused i dont know why this is happening is this normal?

Hello I am currently on 'the pill' (yaz) I never take the pill any late and a few days ago I started having brown spotting. It isn't much though and i should have my period in a week. Is spotting between your period normal?

like her i am on birth control as well but i missed two days saturday and sunday, i freaked out and took 2pills on monday and then noticed that i was starting to spot. i lost my pack and ended up starting a new one on that tuesday. It is now saturday and i am still spotting, i mainly see it when i whipe or i might have some discharge in my panties. Could i be pregantn or is this becuase i messed up my cycle by skipping and starting a new pack?

To be honest i just had been to busy and forgot, i am sexually active but for the most part i am very good about taking my pill.

Hi I'm currently on Diane 35 ..sm times I take a few hrs late or on days I forget to take my pill.however,there r days when I have my periods.not heavy though but quite light.but I'm worried because shdnt I b not havg my periods since I'm on the pill? Pls advice.thanks.-:)

i just started the pill for the first time. and i finished my period more then a week ago and since then ive had brown spotting.its only light but its in my undies and im just worried about it. i always take my pill on the same time within the hour and i havent had unprotected sex.

i hav been on the pill since last july, and been taking it every single day at around 7am, last week i took it most of the time an hour or 2 late and this week took it at 7 like usually but i have been having brown spotting everyday, today i started to take the white pills for my period. i have been feeling nausea sometimes and me and my bf do not usually use condoms.. i was wondering if i could be pregnant or not? thx for the help

i have been taking the pill for a few years now and i started spotting the week before my period. the last time this happened my dr. gave me a higher dosage and now about two years later it's happening again! what does this mean?? is my body getting to used to this brand of pills?? i dont want to get a higher dosage again, what should i do? someone please help

I am having a similiar situation except I have been on the same birth control for 6mths. I take the kind where you have a peripd every 4months. I NEVER miss a pill and always take it at 10pm on the dot, I set an alarm. However, for the past 2 weeks now I have been having horrible cramping, pain in my left side where my ovary would be, nausea, fatigue, and discharge like you. At first it was just a light brown when I wiped and lasted like that for 2 days and went away. Then after a couple days it came back, and then the other day switched to red with tissue like a period but only lasted an hour before resorted back to brown. My husband and I had sex on wed May 2nd and I started my symptoms and spotting Tues 8th. I hear implantation bleeding occurs bewteen 6-12 days after fertilization could have occurred. I am suppose to start my placebo pills this sunday May 20th...but am wondering if what I have been experiencing is breakthrough bleeding, which I find odd seeing as how I have not had any for 6months on this pill, or if it was implantation bleeding or pregnancy occurred. What do you think?

Okay I was on try-cyclen also and I started having a bloody discharge. I freaked out! But I went to the doctor and they told me my body had kind of built an ammunity to the pill and that I need to switch. I'm now on orthro-cyclen
