I have a girlfriend who just now called me saying that she was having trouble breathing, and she felt like she was being stabbed in the back. The pain dulled but it traveled up to her chest as well. She's breathing fine now, and I have her resting.

She's just 18, and this has never happened to her before.
She does have horrible sleeping habits, though.

What could be the problem?

Any help and suggestions to lessen the pain if it were to happen again would be very appreciated.
