I've been sexually active with my boyfriend for about 9 months now. We used to use condoms and he would also pull out every time. I recently got on birth control a little over a month ago, and he still pulls out every time. For the last couple of days I've been noticing that my vaginal discharge, usually a white color, has been tinted brown a little. Could this be caused by the birth control? I should get my period in about a week. Thanks!!

I've had the exact same thing happen to me. I think it may have something to do with the birth control but I DONT KNOW and it is freakign me out!! My boyfriend and I just recently had sex for the first time but I've been on Yaz birthcontrol for about four months now and we used a condom, he pulled out, and I have NEVER missed a day of my pill, I'm very good about it. I hope this helps!

Pulling out is not a form of Birth control

actually it was recognized by recent research that pulling out is just as or even more effective then condoms. My doctor even told me and it was also in the new york times. not that either one recommended it.
and Yes i also have just started birth control pills and am having the brown colored discourage. I was thinking it was just dried blood from my last period but i'm not sure. it's likely. but its good to know i'm not alone.

Your birth control pills maybe be causing you to have a yeast infection, if it is not normal always be safe and get it checked out by a doctor.

The exact same thing is happening to me. I had unprotected sex with my bf before i was on the pill. But about a month ago I put myself on birth control. me and my bf continued having regular sex. and for about a week now I've had this light brown discharge. it smells bad, but it's not very strong. I'm not sure what it is. I start the sugar pills tomoro, so hopefully my period will start and it will all go away, but i'm a little worried as to whats causing it. I've had bacterial and yeast infections before, but I don't think its that because an unbareble itching usually goes along with those. And I know I'm not pregnant. I haven't missed any pills. I've also noticed my vagina is much drier than usual. And I don't get wet when i'm having sex, or when i'm turned on, or even when i'm having an orgasm. is this all due to the birth control?
