When you comment on articles or post in discussions you are automatically subscribed to it. This means that if someone were to reply to your comment or post you will be notified via your e-mail.

If you unsubscribe, you won't be notified when someone replies to your comment or post.

Dear RightTrack

The 'Unsubscribe from this topic' button is first a 'Subscribe to this topic' button.

When you subscribe you get the Info message "You are now subscribed to this topic. On each new reply on this topic you will be notified by email. To unsubscribe from this topic, use the unsubscription link."

When you select the 'Unsubscribe from this topic' You get a message "Are you sure you want to STOP getting emails for each new reply in this topic?" with an 'OK' or 'Cancel' option. Selecting 'OK' you get the Info message "You have unsubscribed from this topic. To subscribe for this topic again, use the subscription link."

When you reply to a post, you are often automatically subscribed. On the main 'Your Reply' section (not the 'Quickly reply to this post'), there is a tick box 'Notify me when a reply is posted' (underneath the 'Message body') that is usually pre-ticked, but can be unticked.

Hope this helps
